ClearCorrect Aligners

Have a straighter smile with ClearCorrect

What are ClearCorrect Aligners?

Many years ago, metal braces were the most popular way of straightening teeth. The wires were anchored to the teeth which may have caused discomfort. The appearance of the metal may not have been favourable to the patient who wore them.

Technology in orthodontics has come a long way since then. It is possible to do a lot more when it comes to orthodontic treatment.

There are many more options to choose from now, than ever before. No matter your age or your lifestyle, gone are the days where you had to live with misaligned teeth because you didn’t want a mouth full of metal.

One of our great options are the ClearCorrect Aligners, also known as, Clear Aligner Treatment – an alternative to the traditional wire braces. These removable devices are made from plastic to form transparent dental braces which clamp onto the teeth.

ClearCorrect Aligners can be used to adjust, straighten and align teeth and can be worn on a daily basis, except while eating, drinking, brushing and flossing.

Although there are some severe cases of misalignment that do require metal braces, most mild to moderate cases can be treated effectively with the use of ClearCorrect Aligners to provide a straighter looking smile in a relatively short time, usually 6-12 months.

The process of receiving your ClearCorrect Aligners

ClearCorrect aligners are made based on an assessment of the patient’s teeth and jaw. It is a custom-made system which is designed according to each patient’s desired look.

In order to perform the procedure, Dr Brian Joffe, would need to obtain an accurate set of dental impressions that is sent to the ClearCorrect Company.

Next, the ClearCorrect company converts them into an electronic model, which is then digitally realigned by Dr Brian Joffe to obtain a desired final outcome.

The ClearCorrect company will then create a range of clear aligners which are made of transparent plastic. These clear aligners will be used to move your teeth from the initial position to the final position. This can be done by changing the aligner approximately every two weeks.

You may experience some discomfort as the pressure of the tray moves your teeth into alignment and corrects crowding or spacing problems. It uses the same forces as metal braces to realign your teeth.

The procedure involved during the treatment of ClearCorrect Alignment

ClearCorrect Aligners involves four phases of aligner treatment which can take around one to two years to complete, depending on the severity of the condition.

During each phase Dr Brian Joffe will provide the patient with a new set of aligners after the required movement of the teeth takes place.

It is important for the patient to attend regular check-ups for Dr Brian Joffe to assess the progress of their alignment and hand over a new set of aligners.

Each set of ClearCorrect Aligners are to be worn for a period of 3-6 weeks depending on the alignment of the teeth.

After each set of aligners have been replaced, you will begin to see your teeth aligning and positioning into place.

  • Unlimited:Includes as many aligners required for treatment to be completed.
